The Final of the Clem Smith Bowl will be between Ashbrooke Belford & Blackhall FC. Blackhall FC accounted for Brandon Prince Bishop 3 – 1 with goals from Lee Mathews, Andrew Harrison & Wayne Sullivan. The Prince Bishop reply coming from Mark Turvey. Ashbrooke Belford accounted for an under par Whitehill FC by 4 – 0. First half goals from Mark Green and two from David Baxyer, one from the spot, had Ashbrooke cruising at half time. A further strike in the second half from Martin Deacon secured Ashbrooke's place in the final.

In the league Newton Aycliffe FC hosted Silksworth CCFC and claimed all three points with an excellent 3-1 victory. David Baldwin had Aycliffe one up at half time. Mark Wood hit a 25 yard screamer in the 65 th minute to increase the lead but Silksworth came back strongly for Craig Johnson to reduce the arrears. The points were secured for Aycliffe when Will Swinburne scambled home.

Thornley got themselves back into the winning grove with a close fought 33-2 home victory over Simonside SC and consolidated second spot in the league table. Shaun Flood gave Simonside SC the lead in the 19 th minute. Thornley equalised from a scramble following a corner in the 42 nd minute, Graham Kine being credited with the goal. John Davis put Thornley ahead in the 52 nd minute. Shaun Flood hit his second from the penalty spot in the 55 th minute to put Simonside in with a shout. Graham Kine hit his second and gave Thornley the points in the 85 th minute.

Herrington CW lost 1-3 at home to Shildon Railway. Herrington put in a much improved performance but were still beaten by Shildon Railway. Michael Roberts & Anthony Brown scored for the Railway with Lee Cuddihy replying for Herrington in the first half. Neil Bannister scored a third for Shildon in the second half to secure the points. Referee Doug Grant came in for praise for his performance from both sides.

Birtley Town Reserves travelled to Hartlepool Town and came away with all three points in a 3-2 victory. Lee Cuthbertson had Birtley 2 up in the first 15 minutes. Chris Harland pulled one back for Hartlepool before half time. Mick Bradley hit a third for Birtley before Jonny Payne hit Hartlepool's second to set up a close finish.
