Hartltlepool Town have been in the Durham Alliance league for many years and were at one point were untouchable under the name of Boys Welfare in 2002 season winning the league championship completing the league programme unbeaten also lifting the Durham Trophy and three other league trophies. With this success a large number of players were enticed away by Northern league football, losing these key players unbalanced the club with cup and league preformances well below par. But now with the re-building progressing well and a number of new faces and old familiar ones returning to the team thankfully Town are returning to winning ways, things are looking up already winning the Aukland Charity cup (07 - 08) and also looking to retain the cup. Under the guidance of Paul Hackwell and with Paul Watson at the helm we are sure the good times are about to roll!!! |
